This year, we will once again be exhibiting at BAU in Munich, Europe's largest construction trade fair. “For us, the topic of sustainability is once again in focus, as we have also recently received certification for our CO2 balance from the SKZ - Das Kunststoff-Zentrum, which states that the use of 10,000 square meters of KÖSTER TPO Pro roofing membrane, for example, saves 18,600 kg of CO2,” says Dr. Dieter Köster, CEO of KÖSTER BAUCHEMIE AG. “This product, which is environmentally friendly and saves energy with a high proportion of recycled polymers and a solar reflectance index of more than 94, is just one of many products in our portfolio that stand for sustainability.”

CO2 Reduction with KÖSTER TPO Pro
KÖSTER TPO Pro is one of our most sustainable products. With a recycled polymer content of > 50% and a high SRI value (Solar Reflectance Index) of > 94, we have launched a new leading product on the market. We have also recently received certification for our CO2 balance from the SKZ - Das Kunststoff-Zentrum, which states that the use of 1,000 m² of KÖSTER TPO Pro roofing membranes, for example, saves 1,860 kg of CO2. At the same time, KÖSTER TPO Pro is extremely durable with an expected service life of well over 30 years. Due to the superior reflection of the sun’s rays and heat, the roof heats up less and thus saves cost for air conditioning and the low temperatures put less strain on the roof structure.

We took part in this year's DHBV conference. Due to the combined effect of TPO Membrane and special polyester fleece with self-adhesive layer, a time-saving, easy, and cost-effective installation is ensured. The self-adhesive layer has a high initial adhesive strength which guarantees immediate and lasting membrane bonding and ensures optimal protection against wind suction forces. Additionally, the welding of seams is simple and safe with hot-air welding.
KÖSTER TPO SK (FR) Membranes have a high resistance against hail, are UV stable, and have a high a cold flexibility up to - 50 °C. A glass fiber fleece is embedded in the middle of the membrane to provide an especially high dimensional stability. KÖSTER TPO SK (FR) Membranes are free of softeners and chlorine and are therefore suitable for all types of insulation. The membranes are classified as Broof(t1) and Broof(t4) and fulfill the requirements for "hard roofs" and are suitable for the direct adhesion to EPS insulation.
